JT Halliday

Coach JT Halliday grew up in Valencia, CA, and is a true product of the Bears development pathway. Before stepping behind the bench, he played his entire youth career with the Bears until age 14, when he left to attend St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH. There, he played four years of varsity hockey, earning a reputation for his competitiveness, leadership, and high‑end skill.

After Saint Paul’s School, JT played two years of junior hockey before returning home to pursue a finance degree at Pepperdine University. He has since become a key part of the Bears coaching staff. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach for the 14U AA (1) and 16U AA teams in the 2025–26 season—both of which won State Championships and competed at USA Hockey Nationals. He also coached 15O AAA in the 2024–25 season.

Across his combined playing and coaching years with the Bears, JT has won five State Championships and qualified for USA Hockey Nationals four times. During his seven years of travel hockey in California—starting in Mite A—he captured two SCAHA titles, four CAHA championships, and earned two Nationals appearances.

While playing for the Bears at 14U, JT delivered one of the most dominant offensive stretches in program history, recording 116 points one season and 175 points the next at the 14U level.

JT is the definition of development coming full circle—proof that when teaching comes from lived experience, the student truly becomes the teacher.
